Let it begin…  One of our newest projects is only days away from being launched and this is one for the ages!

Take an iPad and two iPhones, lay them on the table what do you see?  What we saw was a ‘game board’ and two ‘controllers’. That led us to our first of a line of  apps using both the iPhone and the iPad.  The app is ping pong and we call it Ping Pong Battle.

The game is simple in concept; the iPhones are your paddles and the iPad is the ping pong table. Your start up the iPad and connect your iPhones via bluetooth and away you go!  Now you have a portable digital ping pong table anywhere you go.  Sounds are used to judge the ‘hit’ which means that even if you, for some reason, can’t see the ping pong coming at you on the iPad you will hear the sound of the ball flying at you in your iPhone.  This makes for true surround sound as well.  Your iPad and both iPhones are emitting sounds giving you a fast and accurate gaming experience like non other on portable gaming devices.

Now you can play the game with just the iPad, all though where is the real fun in that?   This game was designed for social activity and was designed to be played anywhere, any time, any way. Don’t believe me?  Check out our quick promo video out:

Now we aren’t leaving out those of you without an iPad. After the first release of Ping Pong Battle, we will be releasing an iPhone version that will allow you to take 3 iPhones and play the game. Using 1 iPhone as the table and the other 2 as the controllers or just using the 1 iPhone as the table and controller. Both the iPhone and iPad table will support video out for displaying the game on big screens, projectors or any other screen device you have around.

One last thing I want to divulge. In the game play you will be able to unlock new tables and new paddles. The new paddles will give you increased hitting power and unlock new combo moves. The tables we let you play ping pong in your style.   More and more boards and paddles will be released as the app ‘grows up’. The iPad app will be priced at $4.99 and the iPhone paddle app will be free. The app will be a ‘binary app’ in the second release which means if you buy it for your iPad you will not have to re-buy it for your iPhone. The price of the app will be increasing once the second release is submitted to Apple.
